JAYLIEN

St. Louis native JAYLIEN wears many hats — rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, music composer & sound designer. As a multiplatinum selling producer/songwriter he has worked with Kanye West, Akon, will.i.am, Ty Dolla $ign, Brad Paisley, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Young Thug, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, and more. Raised in a musical home — his father a college choir director & minister of music while his mother a choir singer/songwriter — he developed his love for music early, mastering piano, saxophone, and clarinet before high school. Inspired by Quincy Jones, Kanye West, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Max Martin, he began producing for local artists as a teen and landed his first major label placement in 2007 with “Tell Me This (G-5)” on Baby Huey’s Notebook Paper (Jive/Sony Music).

After briefly studying at New York’s SAE Institute, JAYLIEN moved to Atlanta, where a chance meeting with Akon led to his first worldwide hit: “Beautiful” featuring Kardinal Offishall and Colby O’Donis. The record sold over 4 million singles and cemented JAYLIEN as a force behind the boards. Following success with other stars, he founded his boutique indie record label BLESSANDSEE MUSIC in 2013 and discovered Kacy Hill, whose single “Experience” caught Kanye West’s attention. With JAYLIEN’s help, she signed to GOOD Music/Def Jam, releasing both an EP and an album. As a solo artist, JAYLIEN debuted in 2016 with his ‘Summer’s Over’ EP, blending soul, R&B, and electronic textures through tracks like “We Fcuk” and “Hotel Costes,” now boasting millions of streams. In 2017, he co-wrote “Act Right” for Keyshia Cole & Young Thug, followed by collaborations with Ultra Music in 2018 and musical compositions for Heron Preston and the Alexander Wang × Pepsi Black campaign. His follow-up project, ‘Summer’s Over 2’, released that same year, received acclaim from PAPER Magazine.

In 2020, JAYLIEN composed the score for Offset’s debut fashion show during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, attended by Cardi B, Tyga, DJ Mustard, and Jerry Lorenzo, and created music for Jordan Brand’s commitment campaign to the Black & Brown community, a lasting partnership that continues today. During the pandemic, JAYLIEN returned to recording and in 2022 joined Kanye West in early DONDA 2 sessions. That same year, he released the single “Take Me With You” and his full-length album ‘The Blue Project’, entirely written, produced, mixed, and mastered by himself.

By 2024, JAYLIEN expanded his creative reach with Nike × Jayson Tatum campaigns and the release of “Can You Feel It.” In 2025, he relaunched BLESSANDSEE through a strategic partnership with Vydia/GAMMA, empowering independent artists with major-level innovation. The first signing, Philadelphia R&B artist Devon Culture, debuted with “Slow It Down,” produced by JAYLIEN and legendary Troy Taylor on August 22nd 2025.

Now in full creative stride, JAYLIEN continues to merge music, culture, and cinematic storytelling through BLESSANDSEE — not just a label, but a movement and lifestyle. For JAYLIEN, only the sky is the limit.
